DIY: Paper Flower Gift Bows

how to make paper flowers

This holiday season, add a more personal touch to your gifts by replacing regular gift bows with handmade paper flowers.

For this blog post, we’re focusing on paper flowers as gift accents. Try tying a ribbon around your gift and adhering a large paper carnation in place of where the bow would be. Conversely, forgo the ribbon entirely and glue multiple different flowers right on the giftwrap. One more option is to bunch flowers with stems, tie them together, and adhere to your box. The sky is the limit for decorating possibilities.

Reuse magazines, printed pages, or wrapping paper for unique styles and character. Coffee filters and tissue paper, two commonly used materials, can be dip-dyed or painted with diluted watercolor or acrylic paint. Different flower designs, different materials, and different coloring methods provide for an endless number of possibilities.
